Blue Value

Blue Value is our most cost-effective managed care plan with many levels of coverage to choose from. Primary Care Physician (PCP) office visits to contracting providers are covered after a $20-$40 copayment while non-PCP office visits to contracting providers are covered after a $40-$60 copayment. It is important to note that with Blue Value, the office visit copayment does not cover lab, x-rays or other diagnostic services. As with other services received in-network, members are responsible for 10, 20 or 30 percent coinsurance after they have met their deductible.

For out-of-network services, members are responsible for 30, 40 or 50 percent coinsurance after meeting a separate, out-of-network deductible.

As with our other managed care plans, your employees will need to select a PCP from our statewide network of contracting providers. PCPs can be general practitioners, family practitioners, internists, pediatricians, and obstetricians and gynecologists. They oversee the health care of your employees and their enrolled family members while providing preventive care, immunizations and other health care services.

We encourage our managed care members to coordinate their health care through their PCP, but they do not need a referral to seek care from other contracting providers.
