Basic Blue^® Dental

Basic Blue Dental, priced up to 30% lower than our other dental products will pay benefits for preventive and basic care services. While Basic Blue Dental does not cover major care services, such as crowns, bridgework, or dentures, it does give you affordable premiums and the coverage you need the most. Basic Blue utilizes our PPO network of contracting dentists.

Preventive Care Benefits
Basic Blue Dental pays 100% of the maximum allowance in-network, and 80% of the maximum allowance out-of-network for routine dental care benefits. Available benefits include one oral exam every six months, x-rays, cleanings and fluoride treatments. Certain benefits are only available to dependent children with age maximums. In-network preventive care services are not subject to your deductible.

Basic Care Benefits
Basic care benefits cover frequently used services such as treatment-related sealants for certain teeth, fillings and pin retentions, simple extractions, oral surgery, root canal therapy, and periodontal maintenance. After the six-month waiting period and the calendar year deductible is met, Basic Blue Dental pays 80% of the maximum allowance in-network and 60% of the maximum allowance out-of-network for basic care services.
