HMOBlue® Select

With HMOBlue Select, members have access to our statewide managed care network of providers including general practice physicians, specialists, hospitals and other facilities.

When your employees enroll in HMOBlue Select, they will have to choose a Primary Care Provider (PCP). PCPs may be chosen from our list of contracting general practitioners, family practitioners, internists, pediatricians and obstetricians and gynecologists.

PCPs are an important part of a managed care plan as they help to coordinate the overall care of their patients. They provide preventive care and immunizations, manage many chronic conditions and treat minor illnesses and injuries. Many PCPs offer maternity care and minor outpatient surgery. Members of our managed care plans do not need a referral from their PCP to seek care from contracting providers.

HMOBlue Select has many of the same benefits as HMOBlue. However, copayments for services such as maternity, diagnostic services and inpatient hospital stays are higher which helps keep premiums down.

There are two plans available with HMOBlue Select. In-network, the plans are identical. The differences between the plans can be found in the out-of-network deductible, coinsurance percentage and out-of-pocket limit.
