Which individual plan is best for you?
Essential Blue Basic is the least expensive policy we offer. Keep in mind, this policy does not have benefits for most outpatient care (like doctor’s office visits, lab and X-ray and prescription drugs).
Essential Blue Plus has limited outpatient benefits.
Latitude is a limited benefit plan with a low deductible that covers preventive care, prescription drugs and emergency and hospital services, while limiting outpatient services.
HSA Blue PPO plans are high-deductible health plans that meet federal requirements for use with a health savings account (HSA). To find out more about the financial advantages of an HSA, contact your local DL Evan Bank branch. Check with your tax or legal advisor about what financial arrangement is best for you.
To determine which plan is best for you, consider how often you visit the doctor and your willingness to use network providers.
Where do you live? There are two types of contracted health care providers that can save you money: traditional and preferred provider organization (PPO). You usually save the most with those products that use the PPO network (BlueCare, HSA Blue, Essential Blue Plus and Essential Blue Basic). To determine which providers are available in your area, be sure to check the provider directory.
Are you flexible about the doctor(s) you use? If you’d like to continue using a particular health care provider, find out if they are in our PPO network. There’s a good chance your doctor is a PPO provider. Again, be sure to check the provider directory.
Do you want maternity benefits? (prenatal care and normal delivery) If the answer is yes, you’ll want to look at Personal Blue, BlueCare, Essential Blue Basic ,Essential Blue Plus orLatitude, which cover prenatal, delivery and postpartum maternity care when the delivery occurs after the contract has been in force for 12 months.
