Our provider administrative policies contain information regarding claims submission, reimbursement, and other information in order to achieve an efficient relationship with our providers. These policies are not an authorization or explanation of benefits. Blue Cross of Idaho retains the right to add to, delete from and otherwise modify this policy in accordance with our provider contracts.

Blue Cross of Idaho works diligently on behalf of our members to develop contracting relationships with Idaho dental providers and Blue Cross Blue Shield dental affiliates (national Dental Grid).



Provider Communication

Blue cross of Idaho distributes mass communications by email, fax or United States Postal Service (USPS). On the date of the communication, registered users on our provider website will receive the communication by email. When an email address isn't available, the communication is sent the next business day by fax to the number supplied by the provider's office. Faxes are generally sent outside regular business hours. When email addresses or fax numbers are not available or the communication failed to transmit by these methods, the communication is sent by USPS within 5-7 business days of the original communication date.

Contact your provider relations representative (listed in DPAP100) if you are not receiving communications by email or fax and would like to or if you are receiving emails or faxes and do not wish to receive correspondence in this manner.
