Ward Parkinson is a member of the Board of Directors and Vice President, Commercial Development of Ovonyx, Inc. Prior to assisting in the formation of Ovonyx, he was a co-founder of Micron Technology, Inc. He served as Chairman and CEO of Micron from 1978 through 1986 and as Vice Chairman until 1989.
Ward is a patent attorney with a BSEE from Utah State University, MSEE Stanford University, JD Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, and is the author of numerous patents in the field of microelectronics. In addition, he has been an expert witness for both Micron and Intel in patent suits.
He has been a consistent supporter of education and established a foundation that built extensive sections and bridges for the Boise River Trail.
